The County 9 - County 7 bridge is a very typical steel girder bridge with a concrete deck and the older style guardrails. The distinguishing features of this bridge are the gray color of the girders the T-shaped piers, and the guardrails with 2 layers of concrete and 2 layers of metal.
The abutments are still standing for the previous bridge to cross the Minnesota River at this location. The northeast pier is seen in the 3rd photo below, and the southwest pier is seen in the 4th photo below.
