P-61B Black Widow undergoing restoration at the Mid-Atlantic Air Museum in Reading, Pennsylvania. This Black Widow crashed in the Pacific, and was recovered by the museum in the late 80’s and early 90’s. These photos show the main fuselage being jigged up, a section of one nacelle and boom, a crates containing the wings, and a group of parts including one engines. While this project looks like a mess, and it will take many years to compete, the restored aircraft is expected to be more than 75% original.

Update—as of May, 2006, the fuselage is largely complete. The fuselage and wings have been mated, and the Black Widow is up on her landing gear for the first time in 60 years.
