Yet another concrete girder bridge over the Mississippi River, one of the 13 of a total of 16 that cross the great river in the Brainerd to Grand Rapids region. While most of the bridges in this area have some feature or another to dress them up and add a bit of character, this bridge does not. It is totally functional with absolutely no character. That might be bad for the bridge geek, but then again, it sure beats getting wet.

This bridge replaces a 1930 three span steel truss bridge, which replaced a ferry crossing.
