This is the second of two Mississippi River crossings made by CSAH-8, and the second of three nearly identical prestressed concrete girder bridges. This bridge, five miles down stream from the western crossing of the river, differs from the upstream copy in only two major details. First, there are more support pilings due to this being the slightly bigger bridge. Second, this bridge is 84 feet longer.

This bridge replaced a 1923 truss span.
