The Frank 'Gunner' Gatski Memorial Bridge is a single tower cable stayed bridge. The tower is an inverted-Y, with the roadway going between the two legs of the Y. The cable arrangement is asymmetrical, which means that the suspended deck is shorter on one side resulting in the need for fewer cables on that side of the span.

Bridge was known as the East Huntington Bridge or East End Bridge until it was renamed in 2006 by the State of West Virginia after a local football hero Frank Gatski.
