B-17

The B-17 Pink Lady shown on final approach to landing. The Pink Lady has been based at the Paris Orly Airport for many years. She has been at staple at European airshows for many years. The future of the Pink Lady is a bit cloudy. First, her only qualified pilot has retired, and there are no other B-17 rated pilots in France. Second, insurance rates have gone though the roof. As of spring 2008, it looks like the Lady will move back to Paris Orly, and be more or less a static display in a local airplane museum. She will be brought out to fly only on special occasions.
